I teach Vinyasa, Slow Flow, and Power Flow. I have been interested in fitness, movement, and body health for most of my life. I was introduced to yoga early on through a few classes here and there. But I didn’t begin my practice until 2020. From a young age I knew being active was good for my body. It just felt good to move. It wasn’t until much later I discovered I wasn’t always moving and working out in ways that were good for me long term. I was always sore, and my growing lack of mobility was frustrating. When I started doing yoga on a regular basis, I realized that a workout doesn’t have to be harder, heavier, and faster in order to be effective. Slowing down, being mindful of movement, and in the moment was not only changing me physically in ways I’d never experienced, it was changing my entire outlook on fitness, health, and life. After 18 months of practicing at Horizon Hot Yoga, I decided to sign up for their teacher training to deepen my practice. During training I discovered that I enjoy building a class and sharing the gift of moving the body in harmony with breath and mindful thought with others.
